A most lovely afternoon at L'Atelier de Coloration in Brussels
Today I paid a visit to the Atelier de Coloration in Brussels and I would like to share my inspiring experience with you.
Until now, I have been a regular customer of Dessange Stéphanie and speaking frankly, did not feel the need or will to change.
It happens that last week, while having a walk in the central area of Brussels, I decided to pop by this much raved Atelier de Coloration to purchase a Christophe Robin hair mask. The young woman behind her desk welcomed me in such an adorable and personal way that I took my decision straight away: I promised myself to be back as soon as I can.
I did not do anything with my hair for more than six long months and was seriously craving for a beautiful ombré.
So here I was, excited at the idea of this new experience and also a little nervous... I admit.
The place is warm and cosy, old and modern books mixed up on the wooden shelves, comfortable armchairs here and there, the wonderful smell of fresh tea filling up the air. I cannot help but feel relaxed.
As soon as I sink into an armchair, I am offered a delicious green tea from Palais des Thés.
Things start off pretty well : my hairdresser invites me to share my desiderata while a lovely lady is massaging my hair with the Christophe Robin lavender oil. The smell of it is so very relaxing.
"Never let the color dominate, ever. Eyes and complexion should be enhanced by the color but certainly not outshined", HD - the wonderful hair stylist from l'Atelier inspired me.
We start off dying my hair roots with a herbal hair dye in order to enlighten my natural hair color. The positive aspect is that it will not bleach my hair and is totally gentle to the structure of the hair fibre.
After a shampoo and another long scalp massage, I return to my chair for the second phase of my experience: hair highlighting to get this much desired bronde/ ombré effect.
Some time later, I am experiencing a second invigorating shampoo and a fourth hair massage of the day. After a quick rinse we go for the Christophe Robin "Regenerating mask with rare prickly pear seed oil". Divine.
I am finally ready for a blow dry. My hair feels so smooth, and I am literally in love with the natural highlights enlightening my hair with silky shades.
Good to know: all the haircare products used at l'Atelier are formulated without silicone or parabens.
You cannot see it on the picture but there was a huge smile on my face.
Ladies, remember that you are unique! I hope this article will inspire you to treat yourself the way you deserve!
